IANTD Trimix Instructor 

This Programme is designed as the model for mixed gas instruction. The Programme was developed by leading diving educators, diving physiologists and the most experienced mixed gas divers in the technical diving community. The IANTD Trimix Instructor represents the standard of excellence in Mixed Gas Applications for advanced recreational diving.

Must be qualified as an IANTD Normoxic Trimix Instructor in Active Teaching Status for a minimum of 1 year with five years of teaching experience.

Must provide proof of a minimum of 500 logged dives, of which at least 200 were deeper than

30 msw, and at least 50 were Trimix dives.

Must have taught a minimum of 4 IANTD EANx Diver Programmes, 4 IANTD Advanced EANx Programmes, and either 4 IANTD Technical Diver Programmes, or Normoxic Trimix Diver programmes or 4 of a combination of the two programmes.

Must be a minimum of 21 years of age

Advanced Trimix Instructor 

 TDI Trimix Instructor Course provides the training required to competently and safely teach breathing gases containing helium for dives that require staged decompression to a maximum depth of three hundred thirty (330) fsw / one hundred (100) msw. The objective of this course is to train Instructors to teach the benefits, hazards and proper procedures of utilizing custom oxygen/helium/nitrogen mixtures as

You must:
Be a minimum age of twenty one (21).
Show proof of minimum certification as a TDI Advanced Trimix Diver.
Show proof of minimum certification as a TDI Extended Range Instructor (or equivalent).
Show proof of minimum two hundred fifty (250) logged dives.
Show proof of minimum of fifteen (30) logged Trimix dives.
Show proof of 20 dives deeper than one hundred and eighty (180) feet/ Fifty five (55) meters.
Certify at least 10 Extended Range Divers to depths of at least 150 feet.
Assist with at least 2 complete Advanced TRIMIX classes taught by a TDI TRIMIX Instructor and provide a letter of recommendation from the assisted instructor(s).

Tec Trimix Instructor

PADI TecRec Instructors provide the most comprehensive technical instruction available. Tec Trimix divers explore the outer edges of technical deep diving. If you are both a PADI Tec Deep Instructor (or you can become one in conjunction with this course) and Tec Trimix Diver (or you can become one in conjunction with this course), then the PADI Trimix Instructor training is ideal for you. The TecRec Trimix Instructor incorporates instructional philosophies and course goals that directly address the demanding and challenging nature of technical diving with helium gas mixes.  We can offer the PADI Trimix Instructor course in both backmount and sidemount configurations.

As a PADI TecRec Trimix Instructor, you’ll be one of the elite who can teach the PADI Tec Trimix Diver course. During the course you’ll learn how to teach diving at the cutting edge down to a depth of 90 metres/300 feet.

Have a minimum of 200 logged dives with at least 20 technical decompression dives requiring at least one stage/deco cylinder. Of these, at least 10 must have been made deeper than 40 metres/130 feet using trimix.

Be a PADI Tec Deep Instructor, or have successfully completed the PADI Tec Deep Instructor Training course including the instructor examinations.

Be a renewed PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer or higher level PADI Instructor.

Be certified as a PADI Trimix Diver or have a qualifying full trimix certification.

Upon successful completion, the candidate must meet the following criteria:

Have a minimum of 350 logged dives, with at least 50 decompression dives, 30 deeper than 40 metres/130 feet using trimix as the bottom gas, also at least 10 of these deeper than 50metres/165feet using trimix with less than 21 percent Oxygen.

Have assisted with at least one PADI Trimix course.

Have successfully completed the Tec Trimix Instructor Standards Exam and Tec Trimix Instructor Theory and Practical Application Exam.

Be 18 years old
