65 Meters Diver
TDI Trimix Diver Course
The TDI Entry Level Trimix Course provides the training required to competently and safely utilize breathing gases containing helium for dives that require staged decompression, utilizing nitrox and / or oxygen mixtures during decompression to a maximum depth of 60 msw.
Upon successful completion of this course, graduates may engage in technical diving activities utilizing custom Trimix mixtures without direct supervision so long as:
The diving activities approximate those of training
The area of activities approximate those of training
Environmental conditions approximate those of training
PRE-REQUISITES
Minimum age of 18
Minimum certification as a TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver and Decompression Procedures Diver (or equivalent)
Minimum of 100 logged dives or equivalent at the discretion of the instructor
Who this course is for:
The certified Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures diver looking to:
Extend their depth range
Reduce narcosis for all deep dives
Advance their technical diving education
What’s in it for you?
Ability to conduct technical diving activities using custom trimix mixtures without direct supervision provided:
The diving activities approximate those of training
The areas of activities approximate those of training
Environmental conditions approximate those of training
Ability to enroll in TDI Advanced Wreck and TDI Advanced Trimix courses
Tec Trimix 65 Diver
This course opens up the advantages of trimix to the diver, and divers are qualified to make multi-stop decompression dives that employ EANx and oxygen for accelerated decompression, and any trimix with an oxygen content of 18% or more.
They can dive to a maximum depth of 65 metres.
The PADI Tec Trimix 65 course is intended to extend the depth range of technical divers already trained and qualified to use air, enriched air and oxygen for technical decompression dives beyond 50 metres.
This course is for Tec 50divers (or those holding a qualifying certification from another training organization). The course extends your depth range capabilities by training you to use trimix (a blend of helium, oxygen and nitrogen).
You will:
• Plan and execute at least five trimix decompression dives using various trimix blends
• Use decompression software to create custom dive tables and dive plans
• Make training dives as deep as 65 metres
You must be:
Be a PADI Rescue Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization and having proof of CPR and first aid training with the previous two years).
Be certified as a (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization)
Be at least 18 years old
Have logged at least 100 dives
Academic:
Trimix diving depth ranges
Exposure planning
Selecting a mix
Argon inflation systems
Handling three or four decompression cylinders
Decompression models
Emergency procedures
Decompression software and multi-gas computers
(signed by a physician)
IANTD Normoxic Trimix Diver
This Programme is designed to train those who wish to dive to depths between 39 msw and 60 msw, but who do not wish to breathe air below 39 msw. Trimix affords a means of reducing narcosis on dives to such depths.
The knowledge and skills taught in this program are more than adequate to qualify divers to perform Trimix Dives outside of training up to 60 msw.
You must be:
Must be qualified as an IANTD Advanced EANx Diver.
Must provide proof of a minimum of 100 logged dives, of which at least 30 were deeper than 27 msw or sufficient experience doing technical dives to satisfy the instructor that the student has the ability and knowledge to continue into this level of training.
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
How deep can you dive with the IANTD Normoxic Trimix Diver Program?
No dives may be conducted to depths greater than(60msw).
How deep can you dive with the IANTD Normoxic Trimix Plus DiverProgram?
No dives may be conducted to depths greater than (70msw).
