PADI Scuba Divers
The PADI Scuba Diver course is a subset of the PADI Open Water Diver course. If you’re short on time but really want to become a diver, the PADI Scuba Diver rating might be right for you ̶ particularly if you expect to go scuba diving primarily with a dive guide. This course is an intermediate step for earning an Open Water Diver certification, if that’s your ultimate goal.

Academic :
The PADI Scuba Diver course consists of three main phases:
Knowledge Development (eLearning, independent study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving – just the first three of five sections of the Open Water Diver course.
Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills – just the first three of five dives of the Open Water Diver course
Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore – just two of four dives of the Open Water Diver course.
SDI SUPERVISED DIVER
Are you interested in exploring the underwater world, but are not sure if you want to commit to the complete Open Water Scuba Diver Course? SDI has an option for you!The SDI Supervised Diver Program will introduce you to all of the same subjects and skills as the Open Water Scuba Diver course; however the in-water training is abbreviated to save time. The SDI Supervised Diver certification will allow you to dive under direct supervision of a diving professional for a period of 12 months! At any time in that 12 month period all that is required for you to complete your Open Water Scuba Diver course is to complete 2 more open water checkout dives.
Who this course is for:
Anyone who is interested in Scuba Diving, but is not sure they want to or may not have time to complete the SDI Open Water Scuba Diver course
Prerequisites:
Minimum age 18; 10 through 17 with written parental consent
What’s in it for you?
Upon successful completion of this course, graduates may:
Participate in dives under the direct supervision of a qualified and active dive professional to depths of 12 metres / 40 feet in conditions similar to their training for up to 12 months.
Enroll in the SDI Open Water Scuba Diver course. If the diver enrolls in the Open Water Scuba Diver Course before their certification expires, they may follow the Supervised Diver Upgrade Procedure.
IANTD Supervised Diver
This Program is designed to provide basic training to those who wish to enter into SCUBA diving adventures within limited time.
This Program qualifies a diver to dive to a maximum depth of (12 msw).
Upon completion of this program, the diver may dive only under the direct supervision of a Dive Master, Assistant Instructor, or Instructor, at a maximum ratio of four (4) Supervised Divers per Divemaster, Assistant Instructor, or Instructor, provided that the Divemaster, Assistant Instructor, or Instructor will be capable of establishing physical contact with any Supervised Diver at all times during the dive.
Supervised divers may only participate in diving activities where appropriate diver support is always available at the surface
Prerequisites:
Must be a minimum of 15 years of age with a documented parent or legal guardian authorization, or a minimum of 12 years of age for Junior qualification, or a minimum of 18 years of age without parent or legal guardian approval.
