TDI Technical Divemaster
This program is designed to develop the skills & knowledge necessary for an individual to lead certified Technical divers in the open water environment.
Qualifications of Graduates
Upon successful completion of this course, graduates may:
Assist an active TDI instructor during approved diving courses provided the activities are similar to the graduate’s prior training.
Supervise and conduct dives for certified Technical divers provided the activities are similar to the graduate’s prior training.
This program does not cover overhead environment with the exception of Advanced Wreck.
You must be:
Must be 18 years old
Candidates must be certified as a Sport Diver DiveMaster
Must hold Current CPR and First Aid certification
Have a current medical examination
Minimum 50 logged dives
Hold the Technical Diver Rating which they are applying for DiveMaster in. For example: A TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver, who is also a DiveMaster, may receive a Technical DiveMaster rating up to Advanced Nitrox.

Instructor must use the current TDI Standards and Procedures Manual but may also use any additional text or materials that they may feel help present these topics. The following topics must be covered during this course:

IANTD Technical Divemaster
This Program is designed to provide responsible training for those persons wishing to supervise IANTD divers. These include IANTD Open Water Diver, IANTD EANx Diver, IANTD Advanced EANx Diver, and IANTD Deep Diver. Divemasters may teach Snorkel Skin Diver. Divemasters who complete item 2 under program content may teach the IANTD OW Free Diver course.
If the IANTD Divemaster is Recreational Trimix and / or Advanced Recreational Trimix certified then they may supervise these courses as well.
IANTD Divemasters may supervise, escort and assist in all IANTD Open Water SCUBA Diver Programs but cannot conduct SCUBA training exercises unless under the direction of a qualified IANTD Advanced EANx Instructor.
IANTD Divemasters are qualified to plan and execute emergency procedures appropriate for the diving activity and environment.
Upon completion of the program, Divemasters may conduct any specialized scuba diving activities for which they have received appropriate training. If diving in conditions significantly different from those previously experienced the Divemaster shall require an appropriate orientation.
You must be:
Must be qualified as an IANTD Advanced EANx Diver, or Advanced Recreational Trimix Diver, First Aid to include CPR, Oxygen Provider and IANTD Rescue or equivalent. If an equivalent certification is accepted, CPR and Oxygen Provider must be current within the last two years. Qualification in two optional IANTD Specialty Programs is recommended.
Must provide proof of a minimum of 60 logged dives.
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
